Meet Our Team John Stroud Owner

My name is John and I'm one of the owners here at Midwest Small Engine Sales and Repair. I have over 30 years of experience in small engine work. I grew up here in Topeka, Kansas and graduated Topeka West 1982. I began working on small engines in 1986, by 1987 I was head mechanic and shop manager on Sanibel Island in Florida. I worked their for 12 years. I also started a lawn and landscaping business at the same time and worked both for 3 years till the lawn and landscape business took off more than I could handle so I focused on my business till i could grow enough to start a small engine shop of my own. I opened Little Johns Little Engines and balanced that and landscaping. After 13 years i moved back to Topeka due to my parents aging and wanted them to know my kids better. Once back i worked at several Small Engine shops till I could start my own again. The opportunity to make Midwest Small Engine work came along and I took it. Now we have been open for over a year and we see many more to come. I have many certifications including Briggs & Stratton Master Tech Certification, Kohler Expert Certification, Honda Expert Certification, and certified in Tanaka, Kawasaki, Stihl, Kubota, Toro and many many other. I won't ever give you the run around I always try to shoot straight be 100% honest. I say my honest option with your best interest in mind, cause I belive honesty is the best policy and thats how you create good customer. I like to say if man made it I can fix it and if you have something to challenge that claim I'll be more than happy to take a look at it for you.
